New Delivery Service to the Music Library

Starting January 9, 2023, you can request materials for pickup at the Music Library from our off-site shelving facility Downsview, as well as Robarts, Mississauga, and Scarborough.

A few words of wisdom about timing and priorities:

I want the item FAST: Are you writing a paper due this week and need that book, score, or recording right away? Use Robarts Library as your pickup location. Robarts receives daily deliveries from other libraries, including Downsview, so your request will be shipped and available for pickup in a timely fashion.

I want geographical CONVENIENCE: Is there a winter storm and the walk to Robarts is too daunting to contemplate? Use the Music Library for your pickup location. We receive two deliveries per week from Robarts, so while that book, score, or recording that you requested will take longer to arrive, you won’t have to trek too far to pick it up.

Never placed a request before? All users with active borrowing privileges can place requests for Library Pickup. It’s as easy as 1-2-3!

  1. Sign into your account in LibrarySearch.

  2. Select the item you are interested in and click on “Library Pickup” under “Get It”.

  3. Specify your pickup location (remember, Robarts = Fast and Music = Convenient) and submit your request. You will receive an email when the item is ready for pickup and the library of your choice.
